RUA 2010 Pinot Noir, the junior of the outstanding Akarua range
from Central Otago was one of Pinot Shop's hit wines of last year. We
had stunning feedback from many, many happy purchasers.
This wine is
impressive in each vintage (we though the 2009 couldn't be bettered but
we were wrong) and this latest release, 2010, also impressed the judges
at the Decanter International Wine Awards 2011, rating it (along with09 Domain Road) in the top 5 best value-for-money pinots and awarding it a GOLD MEDAL.
Judges comments: "Sweet cherry aromas following through to a vibrant fruit palate with darker plum and blackberry notes along with a touch of savoury, Mediterranean spices. Lovely."
