Barrington, NW Tasmania -
For the last two vintages, Barringwood Park Pinot Gris has been equal top-selling pinot gris, with Chartley Estate.
New vintage 2009 has just landed in store and has already found new fans. Ian and Judy Robinson’s pinot gris manages to strike a lovely balance between richness and freshness. The wine has all the complexity and weight of good pinot gris but has a refreshing finish from perfectly poised acidity. This is due to excellent winemaking as well as Barringwood Park Vineyard’s cool, north-west Tasmania location.
Pear, sweet apple and honeysuckle with a whiff of orange. Quite zesty on the finish with lusciously lingering (but not cloying) flavours.
