Bass Phillip has celebrated 21 vintages of an icon Australian pinot with the release of 2006 Bass Phillip Pinot Noir ‘The 21’.

Winemaker Phillip Jones blended the fruit from Bass Phillip’s 3 largest vineyards – Estate, Village & Issan – to produce a wine with all the best attributes of two decades of Bass Phillip Pinot. There is no other 2006 wine from these vineyards – Reserve and Premium Pinots have been rolled into the one package.

”Dark and intense, the wine is dominated by wild, dark stone fruits and has a very firm phenolic middle and back palate. It finishes with a very savoury bitterness of sour cherry seeds… ideal food wine.”- Phillip Jones winemaker’s notes.
