Relbia, Tasmania –
Deeply coloured, plum, blackcurrant and spice on the nose moving through to a smooth, seamless wine with the acid well tucked up by the sweet, ripe fruit. Delicious drinking now but will happily keep for 3-5 years.

In 2008, Josef Chromy's 2006 Pinot, a mere babe in
arms, scooped a coveted Top 100, Blue-Gold Medal from the Sydney
International Wine Show. Around the same time, '06 Josef Chromy Pinot
also popped up in the list of best pinots from a tasting run by Australian Gourmet Pages and judged by, among others, Huon Hooke. The wine sold out pretty quickly after that.
Luckily for us, the vineyard popped a few cases aside for a special MUSEUM RELEASE;
now we get to enjoy the lively youngster in its elegant, mature form.
Here's the fascinating, good pinot funkiness that comes with a wine in
its prime, along with ultra silkiness and gently, gently lingering
flavours. Most beguiling.
LIMIT 3 per person.
