A full flavoured Champagne Rose made from 90% pinot noir and meunier and 10% chardonnay. The rose is made with the addition of red wine – barrel matured pinot – which adds to the complexity. Despite that complexity it is also a subtle and fresh sparkling with delicious fruitiness. Red fruits (sour cherries) and spice with cedar notes.
As the importer says “Beats the pants off the big house pinks…” And, we probably don’t need to add, is several dollars less too. For the record it is a blend of 2002, 2003 and 2004 wines. Low dosage – 8g.
