Like many Central Otago vineyards, Mt Rosa started life as a sheep farm.

The colour of Mt Rosa Pinot is a deep, plummy red. There are enticing aromas of spice and blood plum with just a hint of sweet, stewed blackberries. This pinot has a fantastic savoury edge to the palate which is a great foil to the ripe fruit flavours, and there’s also good, balancing acid. All in all there’s enough good structure here to match with slow cooked lamb dishes.
