This is what Marlborough does best – a gloriously perfumed, big fruit bomb of a wine; Nautilus Pinots are totally seductive and completely irresistible.

The nose is a meld of violet, rich plum and spice. At the early stage there’s a fine structural core to the palate which becomes soft and very succulent after a day being open. A couple of years bottle age or vigorous decanting will give the same effect.

Only released a few months ago, 2008 Nautilus Pinot has already been awarded two trophies -

TROPHY Best Dry Red Wine 2009 Canberra National Wine Show (held in November)

TROPHY Best Pinot Noir 2009 Royal Perth Wine Show (held in October)

Pinot Shop is located in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia at 135 Paterson Street down at the river end near Cataract Gorge, Stillwater Restaurant and The Mill Providore. We specialise in the best of premium pinot noir as grown so beautifully in the cool climes of Tasmania, New Zealand and southern parts of the big Australian continent. Our love for pinot extends to its sibling styles pinot gris and grigio and fizzy cousins sparkling wine and Champagne, even when they don’t contain pinot noir.
