Coal Valley, Tasmania -

Estalished in 1999 with the first harvest in 2002. Winemaking Tasmania (Julian Alcorso) makes a consistently full-flavoured pinot from Peter Lowrie’s vines.

Pages Creek 2006 Pinot showed beautifully in 2010 Tas Wine Show (judged by Halliday and Hooke) with a Gold Medal in the 2006 Pinot class and ultimately the TROPHY BEST VALUE PINOT NOIR, happily sponsored by Pinot Shop!

This delightful pinot shows absolutely what 3 years+ bottle age can do. Huon Hooke on the 2006 pinots – ‘A lovely class and a joy to judge wines with a couple of years bottle age.’ Pages Creek is a perfect example – enveloping bouquet of plum and dark cherry and really tasty in the mouth with ultra smoothness and texture.

Pinot Shop is located in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia at 135 Paterson Street down at the river end near Cataract Gorge, Stillwater Restaurant and The Mill Providore. We specialise in the best of premium pinot noir as grown so beautifully in the cool climes of Tasmania, New Zealand and southern parts of the big Australian continent. Our love for pinot extends to its sibling styles pinot gris and grigio and fizzy cousins sparkling wine and Champagne, even when they don’t contain pinot noir. That’s not to say we’ve become too exclusive - we also stock an interesting range of delicious wines for those (rare) times when you’re not drinking pinot…
