The Pencarrow range is Palliser Estate’s second tier and is widely acknowledged as a bargain gem in the oft stratospherically priced world of New Zealand pinot.

Martinborough does this style of pinot with ease as the region affords ripe fruit flavours of cherry and strawberry plus soft, slightly chewy tannins. Some cleansing acid is evident at present so enjoy it with something fleshy and unctuous like salmon. Otherwise pop a few down for 6-12 months.
