Pipers Brook, North-East Tasmania –
Sinapius Vineyard is Linda Morice and Vaughn Dell’s new enterprise (on the site of the former Golders Vineyard) and this is their second release pinot noir. The whole package, contents included, shows the thought and care that has been lavished on this elegant pinot noir.
One of the most striking things about the wine is the focused fruit – sweet red cherries and bare hint of spice – and then the texture of the wine becomes apparent; it is seamlessly soft. In terms of body, Sinapius is medium-weight but despite the delicacy the flavours really linger.
