Coal Valley, Tasmania -
Wobbly Boot Pinot is very expressive with an aromatic bouquet of raspberry, sweet cherry and anise. Rather than typical Coal Valley concentration, this wine has more nuance and elegance with
its juicy, medium bodied weight, a style that is so at home with
summer's casual antipasti plates or chicken or quail dishes. Even spicy food works well with Wobbly Boot's supple slurpiness.
Made from the Schramm's excellent Coal Valley fruit by Alain Rousseau of Frogmore Wines who has an admired winemaking touch of not forcing things.
Wobbly Boot is a very appealing pinot at a most attractive price.
2010 Wobbly Boot Pinot Noir $27, DOZ $295 (=$24.58)
