Stillwater's Prawn sticks

The fine art of the bar snack is having an excellent showing in Stillwater’s bar room, adjacent to the main restaurant and with a commanding view of the river and the comings and goings around this busy precinct.

From 4.30pm you can enjoy a refreshing beverage and accompany it with interesting nibbles while enjoying the sunset over the river. Oyster natural and as shooters, chorizo wonton rolls with chilli jam or warm olives with rosemary oil are on the list. It’s a hard ask to decide between the spicy tempura mushrooms with yoghurt dip or the Asian coconut prawn sticks with ginger aioli as the most delicious snacky morsels sampled recently.

Stillwater has a fine range of Tasmanian wines and top class spirits.

Pinot Shop is located in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia at 135 Paterson Street down at the river end near Cataract Gorge, Stillwater Restaurant and The Mill Providore. We specialise in the best of premium pinot noir as grown so beautifully in the cool climes of Tasmania, New Zealand and southern parts of the big Australian continent. Our love for pinot extends to its sibling styles pinot gris and grigio and fizzy cousins sparkling wine and Champagne, even when they don’t contain pinot noir. That’s not to say we’ve become too exclusive - we also stock an interesting range of delicious wines for those (rare) times when you’re not drinking pinot…
