USA - Littorai 2015/16 Pinot Noirs
Winery : Littorai
Ted and Heidi Lemon established Littorai in 1993. The wines are made from biodynamically managed vineyards in Sonoma and Medocino, California. These are very scarce, highly-regarded pinot noirs, rarely seen outside US, so we are very privileged to be able to offer them. Lemon also consults to Burn Cottage in Central Otago. For a an insight into Lemon's philosophy read his splendid address to the 2013 Mornington Pinot Celebration at this link The Concept of Noble Place in New World Winegrowing.
'Pinot Noir is a sacred task.' TED LEMON

2015 Littorai Mays Canyon Pinot Noir: 'In its youth this wine tends toward a bouquet of blueberries and huckleberries. With age more spice tones appear. ... often quite closed when very young and blossoms after a year or two of bottle age... good acidity and significant tannins, placing it in the camp of pinot for meat and game.'
