Clarence House Block 1 Pinot Noir
Winery : Clarence House
Clarence House is an historic property at Rokeby on Hobart's eastern shore. The property was the site of Hobart's market garden in the early 1800s. David Kilpatrick planted the first vines in 1998. Anna Pooley and Justin Bubb of Pooley make the wine.
Block 1 is made from the original block of vines which are now 22 years. It was a highly rated Tasmanian finalist at the 2021 Australian Pinot Noir Challenge
Michele's notes: Bright magenta. Brilliantly aromatic with cherry, vanilla, cardamom and brioche. The sweet fruit floods the palate with energy and freshness, along with layered depth. The flavours gently build, leaving an exotic note of Turkish Delight. Serene pinot, very flavoursome. Highly recommended Tasmanian Pinot Noir.
