Clarence Plains 2017 JV Pinot Noir
Winery : Clarence House
Clarence Plains JV Pinot Noir just gets better and better with each vintage. Clarence House was built in 1830 on land at Rokeby, on Hobart's eastern shore (sort of at the end of the Coal V...) and was the site of the original market garden for Hobart. Current owner David Kilpatrick planted vines on the NE slopes of Clarence Plains in 1998.
Michele's notes: A great vintage of Clarence Plains Pinot, it's a lovely big bomb of sweet cherry, mocha and touch of spice. Full-bodied, lingering and remarkably silky and smooth for such a young wine. Gentle tannins on the finish. Remarkable value.
Made by the Pooley team.
