Made by the Bay of Fires team, fruit source is Coal Valley and East Coast (near Cranbrook). This wine has been a show stopper for the last four vintages, and the new release is already following in those footsteps with a GOLD MEDAL at the Royal Hobart Show last month.
Vintage 2017 has given this popular Tasmanian wine extra pinot grunt!
Michele's notes: Pretty ruby/purple. Brooding and alluring bouquet - sweet spice and intense cherry. Plush, sweet fruit in the mouth with flavours that keep on giving, and giving. There is more concentration in this vintage, compared with the open texture of previous Eddystone Point Pinots. Delicious lick of cola on the finish with perfect acid to tannin balance. Minimal use of oak adds just enough savoury element to keep the wine clean and refreshing.
