Freycinet 2020 Pinot Noir
Winery : Freycinet Vineyard
Freycinet Vineyard was established near Coles Bay on Tasmania's East Coast in the late 1970s by the Bull family. Winemaker Claudio Radenti takes an unforced approach to making this iconic Australian Pinot Noir. Meticulous viticulture and very simple winemaking techniques allow the fruit from this natural amphitheatre site, to have all the say. These are age-worthy wines.
Michele's notes: Glittering deep ruby in the glass. Dark cherry, red roses, milk chocolate and hint of freshly baked brioche – something I often notice on the bouquet of Freycinet Pinots. It is particularly beguiling and invites you to take another sniff. Pure silk in the mouth; gliding like a black gondola across the palate. There is a delicious harmony between the ripe fruit, oak, tannin and acid, all working together for pure pinot pleasure. An outstanding release.
