Spring Vale 2019 Pinot Noir

Spring Vale, from Cranbrook on Tasmania's East Coast is one of Tasmania's best-known vineyards. The Lyne family whose generations have farmed Spring Vale since 1875, diversified from sheep farming to grape growing in the 1980s. Rod Lyne and son Tim are the current custodians.

Vintage 2019 was excellent on Tasmania's East Coast, and this special Pinot is one of the best we've tasted.

Michele's notes: One out of the box for this iconic Tasmanian East Coast vineyard. Rich hues of dark ruby. Absolutely classic pinot aromas of dark cherry, chocolate and roasted cashews. Notes too of beef tartare and petrichor. All very inviting. In the mouth, the wine is silky and flowing with abundant dark fruits and fine, chalky tannins, everything in harmony.
