Sinapius 2021 Close Planted Pinot Noir
Winery : Sinapius
Sinapius Vineyard was established in 2005 by Linda Morice and the late Vaughn Dell at Pipers River in Tasmania's north-east. Sinapius' close-planted (high density) blocks are planted on volcanic soils from 12 different clones of pinot noir. Like previous vintages 2019 and 2020, this new release contains all the fruit from 'The Enclave' and 'Le Clairiere' blocks. Vintage 2021 was particularly excellent in the Pipers River region.
Michele's notes: A most beautiful Sinapius Pinot release, one of the very best. Medium magenta/ruby in hue with purple flashes. Blackberries, beef tartare and cloves on the nose - all very alluring and interesting. So, so tasty and slurpy. Perfect fruit to acid balance, fresh but layered with generous complexity. So much more than simply the sum of its parts.
