Pressing Matters 2019 Pinot Noir
Winery : Pressing Matters
In 2002 Greg Melick and fellow barrister Francis Douglas established pinot noir and riesling on a frost free, north-east facing site in Tasmania's Coal River Valley at Tea Tree.
Michele's notes: Typically deep colour – blood plums. Sensational bouquet, redolent of mulberries, cinnamon spice with ferrous/wet slate elements. All sensational stuff, and a great prelude to what you are about to taste. Vibrant and intense dark fruit flavours are all over the palate, matched with juicy acidity, but there is volume and silk too. This wine has four years bottle age, but it is still very much in its infancy. With plenty of air, it is also a masterful drink now.
