Back Paddock 2019 Pinot Noir
Winery : Back Paddock
Back Paddock Vineyard is so named as it is located in the back paddock of James and Vanessa Bresnehan’s family farm, near Campania in Tasmania's Coal River Valley. The vineyard occupies some nine hectares, with some vines being over 20 years of age. Robbie Drew of Drew Vineyard made the wine for the Bresnehans.
Michele's notes: Vibrant, medium-hued ruby. Cherry and brambleberries, liquorice, chocolate and sweet spices on the nose. Sweetly fruited, but with a boldness of character. This is nicely complemented by hints of cocoa and char. Deliciously ripe and easy style with a pleasing dry, slightly chalky tannin finish.
Drinking very well now but will cellar well for at least another 4-5 years.
