Vintage after vintage the Bay of Fires team lead by Penny Jones makes outstanding Pinot Noir. The fruit is drawn from several premium Tasmanian vineyards, mostly in the south of the state.
Michele's notes: Deep ruby in colour, Translucent. So typically Bay of Fires on the nose with brioche, raspberry, toasted almonds, milk chocolate and hint of spice. This vintage is a little more sleek and slurpy than some vintages, not so granular in texture. Vintage 2018 shows a finely linear structure - superbly balanced - with vivacious morello cherry fruit, a salty/licorice strap tang and super fine tannins.
