Craggy Range 2014 Te Muna Road Pinot Noir
Winery : Craggy Range
DOUBLE GOLD 2016 Six Nations Wine Challenge
Craggy Range's famed Te Muna Road Vineyard is located some 7 kilometres outside the Martinborough township. The vineyard consists of two distinct terraces, the higher comprising very old, stony clay-infused soils, perfect for pinot noir. The lower terrace is used for whites.
This was an excellent vintage for pinot noir and it shows in all the wine's classic pinot attributes. Aromas of dark cherry, dried rose petals and woody herbs with clod or two of earth. Textural and long... with trademark, ultra fine-grained tannins. Savoury finish. A duck specialist.
