Dalrymple 2014 Single Site Pinot Noirs
Winery : Dalrymple
In 2014, Dalrymple selected four sites as representative of the best of this acclaimed Tasmanian vintage. North, east, south and central, these fascinating wines will provide an acute reflection of their unique sites, as coaxed into being by the sensibilities and experience hands of winemaker Pete Caldwell (click on the link to see a video of Pete tasting the wines)
Dalrymple Cottage Block Pipers R Pinot Noir: A slightly elevated block at the original Dalrymple Vineyard. Rose petal, five spice, red cherry, refined.
Dalrymple Swansea Pinot Noir: SOLD OUT A gentle slope of Basalt-underpinned vines runs down to Great Oyster Bay. Facing north, the site receives maximum sun during the growing season. Rich fruit, earth, toasty oak.
Dalrymple Ouse Pinot Noir: SOLD OUT One of the most inland of pinot-growing sites in Tasmania, Ouse is in the Upper Derwent valley. This is a cool vineyard but with extremes of temperature. Raspberry, cranberry & spice with sappy tannins.
Dalrymple Coal R Valley Pinot Noir: North-east aspect for the vines, with deep and well-textured basalt over dolerite soils. Asian spices, cinnamon and cloves, ripe fruits, savoury notes.
