Dalrymple 2017/18 Pinot Noir

Dalrymple 2017/18 Pinot Noir

Winery : Dalrymple

$38.00 - $415.00

Dalrymple is based at Pipers River in Tasmania; this full-flavoured pinot is made from the 'home' block and selected grower blocks in other regions of the island. In 2017, the wine is blend of fruit from Dalrymple's own Pipers River and Coal River Valley vineyards as well as growers in Swansea and Ouse.

Winemaker/vigneron Peter Caldwell started at Heemskerk Vineyard (then owned by Joe Chromy), moved to Martinborough vineyard Palliser Estate and since his return to Tasmania has shown a very skilled hand with Dalrymple's Pinot Noirs.

Michele's notes: Deep ruby with lovely clarity. Cherry and clove-scented pinks and a whiff of spicy Szechuan pepper. Lively in the mouth and so, so juicy. Good sense of savouriness from small portion of whole bunch, complementing the intensely fruity characters of Dalrymple Pinots.
