2018 Felton Road Bannockburn Pinot Noir: Vineyard notes 'Characteristic floral, cherry and spice aromas abound from the glass on first approach. The fruit from our four vineyards (Elms, MacMuir, Calvert and Cornish Point) delivers appealing diversity of aroma and flavour, along with multiple layers and textures. The deeply textural mouthfeel is silken and already charmingly approachable: partly due to the warm 2018 season, but also highly typical of the Felton Road house style.'
2018 Felton Road Calvert Pinot Noir (value $88) ONLY AVAILABLE in the MIXED SIX PACK Vineyard notes - 'A floral and delightfully perfumed nose immediately engages and enthralls. Sweet fruit opens the palate exposing layers of dark cherry, spice and complex earthy notes. The sense of immediacy and open appeal is quickly tempered by its structural and mineral tannins: a mouth-feel characteristic of Calvert’s deep and heavy silt soils. They contribute a stature and seriousness to the proposition: contemplative and sincere'
2018 Felton Road Block 5 Pinot Noir (value $135) ONLY AVAILABLE in the MIXED SIX PACK Vineyard notes 'A brooding nose led by hints of blackberry, potpourri and polished leather notes. Radiant energy initiates a palate that’s finely focused and dances across the tongue. Its precision and completeness combine complex components in perfect harmony: not a step out of line and perfectly formed. The finish seems to never end while you contemplate this as one of the great Block 5s. Patience with time in barrel has paid dividends in this extraordinary rendition.'
2018 Felton Road Cornish Point Pinot Noir: Vineyard notes 'Lifted aromas of violet and rose integrate seamlessly with black cherry and complexing earthen and dried herb notes. The classic Cornish Point expansiveness and deep fruit provides a solid core through the mid-palate. Restraint and transparency with the winemaking allows the site to clearly express its unique personality from this distinctive lakeside site. Velvet like tannins coat the mouth for a rich and thoroughly engaging finish.'
