Ghost Rock 2016 Two Blocks Pinot Noir
Winery : Ghost Rock
Ghost Rock's 'Two Blocks' Pinot Noir is from the north west Port Sorell vineyard.
North west Tasmania is the island’s coolest wine growing region (sparkling wines are very good from this area); recent good vintages and excellent viticulture have resulted in table wines of elegance and persistence.
'Two Blocks Pinot' is a delight - aromas of warm bakery/raspberry brioche with clarity of red-berried fruit as well. Quince, rose petals and white pepper too. Precise fruit and excellent pinot flow in the mouth. The oak adds a final savoury note. Cellar for at least another 12-24 months.
A previous vintage 2012 won the TROPHY for Best Pinot Noir at the International Cool Climate Wine Show (based in Red Hill, Mornington).
