Winemaker Nick Glaetzer is from the famous Barossa Glaetzer family. He came to Tasmania to work at Frogmore Creek Wines in Tasmania's Coal Valley but these days sees him focusing on his own highly acclaimed wines. In 2011 Nick was the recipient of the 'Wine Australia Medal', effectively AGT WINE's 'young winemaker of the year' award, acknowledging his status as one of this country's rising stars. He capped off that stellar year by winning the Jimmy Watson Trophy with his Tasmanian 'Mon Pere' Shiraz. Still, crafting beautiful pinot noir remains the focus.
