Laurel Bank 2016 Pinot Noir
Winery : Laurel Bank
Laurel Bank was established by Kerry Carland in 1986 at Granton, 20 minutes from the Hobart CBD and just north of the Bridgewater Bridge. With a northerly aspect and sloping site, this is a great place to grow pinot noir. Most of the pinot noir vines are now more than 25 years old and have developed substantial growth systems, the advantage being greater carbohydrate reserves in the often dry summers.
Michele's notes: Bright but deep ruby in colour, herbs, licorice, black fruits and sarsaparilla with lingering and intense flavours. Distinctive Pinot, very ageworthy.
