Meadowbank 2016 Pinot Noir
Winery : Meadowbank
Gerald Ellis planted Meadowbank Vineyard at Glenora in the Upper Derwent Valley in 1976, making him a Tasmanian pioneer of the modern region. In the last couple of years winemaker Peter Dredge (ex Bay of Fires and now Dr Edge) has teamed with the Ellis family and Alex Deane to re-invigorate the Meadowbank wine label with great success.

Michele's notes: Pretty ruby with brilliant flashes of violet. Incredibly fragrant - the rose florals and ripe cherries leap from the glass with exuberance. It is a mouthwatering moment, anticipating the flavours which are exactly as you expect - here is juicy pinot poise in a perfectly-weighted package. The flavours are gently persistent; musk lollies, red cherries and savoury touch of meatiness to complete the picture. Meadowbank Pinot has a fine, clean presence. Delectable.
