Milton 2017 Pinot Noir
Winery : Milton Vineyard
GOLD MEDAL 2018 Australian Small Winemakers Show
Milton Pinot Noir is produced from grapes grown on Milton's homestead block, planted in 1998, and from the earlier (1992) planted vines grown on the stony red soils of the Cranbrook block. The Milton property was first farmed in 1826 for wool. In 2005 the current custodians Kerry and Michael Dunbabin began producing wines under their own label.

Michele's notes: Glittering deep ruby with magenta highlights. Aromatic as usual with more depth and intrigue. Lovely wet stone notes mingle with black cherry, allspice and lavender. It's a bouncy and bold Milton in this low-yielding vintage, full of flavour and interest, with excellent dry/savoury tannins to offset the fruit. Delicious glycerol note right on the finish
