Always sourced from the same grower  in Faye d'Anjou, the vines are about 30 years old, from a mix of soil but mostly influenced by schist. It is a blend of 40% Pineau d'Aunis, 40% Merlot and 20% Grolleau Noir. The Pineau d'Aunis and Grolleau Noir were directly pressed. The destemmed Merlot was macerated for 6 days prior to pressing and provides most of the colour. Each variety was aged separately in stainless steel tanks then blended a month before bottling in January 2026.
