Pooley 2021 Pinot Noir
Winery : Pooley Wines
Pooley Pinot Noir (aka 'Regional Blend') is made from Pooley Estate fruit, both the original Cooinda Vale vineyard and 'newer' Butcher's Hill, as well as top parcels from other blocks in the Coal River Valley region. Made by Anna Pooley and Justin Bubb.
Michele's notes: I really love the style of Pooley’s ‘regional’ pinot noir. There’s generosity and balance in the inviting perfume – dark cherries, spice and chocolate – matched by plenty of lip-smacking flavours. The ripe, dark fruits carry through on the palate, complemented by liquorice, nutty/toasty characters and chalky, dry tannins to finish, and just the right amount of refreshing acidity. It is really tasty.
