Quiet Mutiny 2022 Venus Rising Pinot Noir

Winemaker Greer Carland is the daughter of Kerry Carland of Laurel Bank, a pioneer of the Granton area of Tasmania's Derwent Valley. She has been making wine in Tasmania for 14 years, including as Senior Winemaker with contract giant Tasmanian Vintners (the formerly named Winemaking Tasmania). Quiet Mutiny is her own project, producing wines from small parcels of premium Tasmanian fruit. In this vintage the fruit is from Coal River Valley.

Michele's notes: Glittering deep colour, complex aromas with dark cherry and plum, with hints of candied orange rind and earth. Succulent and so very tasty in the mouth. There's a delicious note of anise/fennel ahead of a clean, balanced finish. In short, it is a big, bold joyous Coal River Valley pinot.
