Sherry - El Candado Pedro Ximinez

Jerez de la Frontera, Spain -

Spanish “black” sherries made from Pedro Ximinez grapes most closely resemble Australian tokays. Those who fancy port, muscat or tokay will enjoy PX.

Smooth, unctuous, chocolatey and with rich plum cake notes, El Candado from the Valedespino range represents the ultimate in dessert or after dinner tipples. It is just the thing to pour over ice-cream or serve with a well-flavoured cheddar.

The name is a reference to the little padlock that keeps the contents well guarded – be sure to get this bit of housekeeping sorted before progressing too far into the night.

Keep the bottle in the fridge after opening. It keeps well for weeks.

Pinot Shop is located in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia at 135 Paterson Street down at the river end near Cataract Gorge, Stillwater Restaurant and The Mill Providore. We specialise in the best of premium pinot noir as grown so beautifully in the cool climes of Tasmania, New Zealand and southern parts of the big Australian continent. Our love for pinot extends to its sibling styles pinot gris and grigio and fizzy cousins sparkling wine and Champagne, even when they don’t contain pinot noir. That’s not to say we’ve become too exclusive - we also stock an interesting range of delicious wines for those (rare) times when you’re not drinking pinot…
