Shiraz - Glen Ayr 2017 Shiraz
Winery : Glen Ayr
Glen Ayr is one of the oldest vineyards in Tasmania and the shiraz vines here were planted in the early '90s.
Michele's notes: Characteristically for Tasmanian shiraz, the Glen Ayr is a vibrant yet deep magenta. All mulberry and dark chocolate on the nose, with vanilla and white pepper. Heady and enticing.
Juicy blood plums in the mouth, meatiness too, with cats tongue tannins. The touch of astringency helps to refresh the palate but the lingering flavour sensation is quite velvety.
