Sinapius 2019 Close Planted Pinot Noir
Winery : Sinapius
Sinapius Vineyard was established in 2005 by Linda Morice and the late Vaughn Dell at Pipers River in Tasmania's north-east. They are among the most exciting producers in Tasmania today. Sinapius' close-planted (high density) blocks are planted on volcanic soils from 12 different clones of pinot noir. No fining nor filtration.
Michele's notes: Like the previous 2018 release, the new 2019 vintage of Close Planted Pinot encompasses fruit from Enclave and La Clairiere blocks as well as the 'Home' block. Medium depth, rich ruby. Aromas of raspberry, red roses, hint of orange rind and fresh thyme. Juiciness prevails throughout in this energetic pinot noir. Fruit flavours linger gently and persistently, giving way to chalky savouriness from just the right amount of toasty oak. Cellaring 8-10 years.
