Lark Distillery, Hellyers Road and Sullivans Cove were the first producers of premium single malt whisky in Tasmania. Their expertise shows, with all producers winning national and international awards over the last couple of years, culminating in the latest award for Sullivans Cove 'limited release' Blue Label French Oak Cask at the World Whiskies Awards in London. It was voted Best Whisky in the World, which rather unsettling news made headlines in the Sunday Scotsman - 'Best whisky in the world award goes to....Tasmania. Unfortunately that particular cask has sold out.

There are 8 distilleries in Tasmania, we now stock single malts from five of these, with the new addition of Overeem (Old Hobart Distillery) and Three Capes from William McHenry Distillery. Three Capes Single Malt started life more than 10 years ago at the Tasmanian Distillery when Bill Lark (now of Lark's) and Patrick McGuire were distillers there at the same time. this aged single malt has been finished with the soft spring water from McHenry's property at Port Arthur.

Old Hobart Distillery began in 2005 when Casey Overeem secured a distiller's licence. With his daughter Jane, Casey has created a range of extremely highly-regarded whiskey.

      Pinot Shop is located in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia at 135 Paterson Street down at the river end near Cataract Gorge, Stillwater Restaurant and The Mill Providore. We specialise in the best of premium pinot noir as grown so beautifully in the cool climes of Tasmania, New Zealand and southern parts of the big Australian continent. Our love for pinot extends to its sibling styles pinot gris and grigio and fizzy cousins sparkling wine and Champagne, even when they don’t contain pinot noir. That’s not to say we’ve become too exclusive - we also stock an interesting range of delicious wines for those (rare) times when you’re not drinking pinot…
