  • 2012 Pittnauer Dorflagen Pinot Noir AUSTRIA: Biodynamic grower. Dark ruby in colour. Cherry/berry fruit aromas overlaid with jasmine tea - florals and fruit - but not just a pretty wine, there's minerality too.
  • 2012 Huber Pinot Noir GERMANY: Top producer Bernhard Huber is located in Baden-Württemberg - the winery is in Malterdingen in the deep south-west of this region, located on the foothills of the Black Forest mountains. Dark fruits and delicious pinot succulence in a great example of how good German pinot noir is.
  • 2014 Jean Paul Brun Bourgogne BURGUNDY: Biodynamic producer. Pinot Noir grown in Beaujolais (which is where JPB is based) is entitled to the Burgundy tag. Fruit is from 3 small parcels of vines planted 25 years old. Purity and vivacity.
  • 2012 Copain Les Voisins Pinot Noir CALIFORNIA: Embodying the grace and elegance of the Anderson Valley.  Aromas trigger black cherry, alpine strawberry, subtle spice and dried orange, while the fruit flavors are fresh and exuberant. The texture is like velvet, layered with delicate tannins and a firm acidity to cleanse the palate.
  • 2012/13 Elk Cove Willamette V Pinot Noir OREGON: One of Oregon's pioneer pinot producers. Deep cherry red with aromas of cedar wood, cherry cordial and peppercorn. In the mouth, juicy and savoury with layers of sweet cranberry, ripe tannins, raspberry and notes of warm cinnamon and lead to a long, juicy finish.
  • 2014 Two Degrees Pinot Noir CENTRAL OTAGO NZ: NZ Royal Easter Show 2016: TROPHY: Champion Pinot of Show. Lovely clarity to the fruit, which is not too weighty. Typically, of the pinots from Wanaka and Clutha, the bouquet is immediately appealing with, sweetly perfumed fruit in the ripe dark raspberry and cherry spectrum. Silky.
Pinot Shop is located in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia at 135 Paterson Street down at the river end near Cataract Gorge, Stillwater Restaurant and The Mill Providore. We specialise in the best of premium pinot noir as grown so beautifully in the cool climes of Tasmania, New Zealand and southern parts of the big Australian continent. Our love for pinot extends to its sibling styles pinot gris and grigio and fizzy cousins sparkling wine and Champagne, even when they don’t contain pinot noir. That’s not to say we’ve become too exclusive - we also stock an interesting range of delicious wines for those (rare) times when you’re not drinking pinot…
