Utzinger 2019 Pinot Noir
Winery : Utzinger
Swiss winemaker Matthias Utzinger travels the world and meets Tassie girl, works with Stefano Lubiana at their newly acquired Panorama vineyard in the Huon, plants his own vineyard in the Tamar Valley, and releases his third and best Pinot Noir to date under the Utzinger label. Expect the story and the accolades to continue.
Michele's notes: Deep in colour, magenta hues. Delightfully vivacious nose but with deeper notes too – flowers and sweet spices mingle with small berry fruits and ripe red cherry. Hint of musk sticks too. Very complex, inviting another sniff.
Smooth and flowing in the mouth, the flavours are not heavy but they build with each sip. Outstanding value for money.
