Swiss winemaker Matthias Utzinger settled in Tasmania after meeting Tassie girl Lauren on his travels. Before planting in the Tamar Valley, Matthias worked for Stefano Lubiana at the then newly purchased Panorama vineyard in the Huon. Matthias also makes wine for other producers in the Tamar Valley, a testament to his growing reputation as a fine winemaker.

Michele's notes: Medium depth, magenta and ruby hues. Cherry fruits on the nose with an interesting coffee/resiny overlay. Vivacious briary fruit in the mouth, which builds sweetly with each sip. Fine dry tannins and poised acid make an excellent counterpoint. This is a particularly tasty pinot noir; the flavours zip around the mouth in a most pleasing way.
