Wooing Tree 2012 Pinot Noir

$62.00 - $348.00

Wooing Tree is one of Central Otago's most awarded Pinot Noirs on the New Zealand wine show circuit, and in international wine challenges. The vineyard is at Cromwell and is named for the local landmark, the Wooing Tree, the site of many a local proposal in bygone years, which stands proud in the middle of the vineyard. Pete Bartel of VinPro and his team make the wine.

Characteristically intense fruit in a silky/sumptuous package with enticing aromas, and full flavours flooding the palate. Balanced acid and fine tannins provide an excellent framework. At five years bottle age, this wine has never been, nor will ever be, in better drinking shape.

    Accolades for this vintage:

Pinot Shop is located in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia at 135 Paterson Street down at the river end near Cataract Gorge, Stillwater Restaurant and The Mill Providore. We specialise in the best of premium pinot noir as grown so beautifully in the cool climes of Tasmania, New Zealand and southern parts of the big Australian continent. Our love for pinot extends to its sibling styles pinot gris and grigio and fizzy cousins sparkling wine and Champagne, even when they don’t contain pinot noir. That’s not to say we’ve become too exclusive - we also stock an interesting range of delicious wines for those (rare) times when you’re not drinking pinot…
