Utzinger Fume Blanc

Lauren and Matthias Utzinger have been producing wine from Tamar Valley fruit since vintage 2018. In that year they also planted their own vineyard near Legana, and it is now the source of superb Pinot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah grapes. In a very short time, Matthias has developed a reputation as one of the state's best winemakers.

Vineyard Notes; West Tamar fruit from our vineyard, hand-picked, destemmed, 4 hours on skins, gently pressed, 6 months on full lees in old French oak barrels, no malo, gentle filtration, screwcap.

Bright yellow with green hue.  Intense and lifted nose.  Passionfruit, elderflower, green apple with some very subtle toasted characters.

Fresh attack with crisp acidity, good volume, long finish on mineral aromatics.
