Kelvedon 2020 Block 5 Pinot Noir
Winery : Kelvedon Estate
Kelvedon Estate is at Swansea on Tasmania's sunny east coast. This is a special 'reserve' level release in the range of Kelvedon Pinot Noirs. It is a barrel selection from a single clone (MV6) off a single block (Block 5). At five years bottle age, this is in peak drinking condition.
D&M notes;
Ferric blood sausage and iron, hints of fennel/pork, cherry Kola nut/sweetness, like 'post mix' coke syrup? Also, bresaola/roasted beef
The palate is a rich abundant mouthful, the ‘peacock tail’ flushes the palate. Some Indian spices (clove, cardamon and star anise) there is a purity to the palate with power and precision, tannins and acids support the generous fruit (MV6 clone)
There are primary fruits, but also showing early evidence of secondary aging (5 years) amazing texture to this wine, coats all corners of the mouth. like pinot honey!
