Milton 2024 Pinot Noir
Winery : Milton Vineyard
Milton Pinot Noir is produced from grapes grown on Milton's homestead block, planted in 1998, and from the earlier (1992) planted vines grown on the stony red soils of the Cranbrook block. The Milton property was first farmed in 1826 for wool. In 2005 the current custodians Kerry and Michael Dunbabin began producing wines under their own label.
Michele's notes: Medium depth - garnet, ruby hues. As always, beautifully fragrant - a complex bouquet of cherry, sweet cumquat, white pepper, clove spice and bresaola.
Perfect weight, refreshing - as pinot noir should be - and with good savouriness to match with food. Sweet cherry, in the classic Milton style, intermingles seamlessly with subtle charry notes from the oak. Lingering. Vintage 2024 is a delicious iteration.
