Dr Edge 2024 Tasmania Chardonnay - Clay matured
Peter Dredge feels like a wunderkind but really, he's been around for a while now. Always a winemaker of great interest, he somehow pushes the line forward every vintage and we don't think he is going to slow down any time soon.
This fantastic Chardonnay is all citrus oil, nashi and grapefruit. practically sparking with a cool electricity and energy. No oak here and we don't miss it. The clay has allowed a tightly coiled viper of Tasmanian fruit expression, savouriness and salinity.
A beauty for now but a wine that will reward you in the future.
