Vivacious, bold, energetic - utter pinot enjoyment.
Plenty of dark cherry flavour and depth here with the grapes' natural fine tannins creating a finely structured framework. No oak, just ultra flavoursome and intense Tasmanian pinot fruit from the excellent 2019 vintage. Nick Glaetzer makes his Nouveau Pinot in the traditional French 'nouveau' manner but with a good dollop of Aussie grunt.
It is the perfect pinot for Asian dishes - meat or seafood - slipping alongside a modest amount of chilli and aromatics with ease. Think Sri Lankan prawn and tomato curry or even some steamed pork dumplings, broth with condiments, or, let's get Aussie here, a good old beef and mushroom stew.
