Winemaker Greer Carland is the daughter of Kerry Carland of Laurel Bank, a pioneer of the Granton area of tas's Derwent Valley. She has been making wine in tas for over twenty years, including as Senior Winemaker with contract giant tasn Vintners (the formerly named Winemaking tas). Quiet Mutiny is her own project, producing wines from small parcels of premium tasn fruit. In this vintage the fruit is from Coal River Valley.

Deeply hued. Savoury and fruits elements combine in an intriguing bouquet - black fruits, anise, fresh thyme and ferrous/blood/earth. Very sleek and flowing in the mouth, the acid lifts the lip-smacking fruit flavours, which are complemented by subtle char from the oak. 13.7% alc. Will be grand drinking in about 4-5 years.
