Barringwood Park 2013 Mill Block Pinot Noir

Barringwood Park 2013 Mill Block Pinot Noir

Winery : Barringwood Park

$42.00 - $235.00

This elegant pinot from Tasmania's Sheffield region was one of highlights of our Tasmanian Pinot tasting in Melbourne late last year, impressing tasters with its briar/rose aromatics and fine-boned structure. Those who like the delicacy and restraint of top-end Mornington pinot will find plenty to like here, with dollar savings...

Ruby/garnet in colour and beautifully translucent, this is one of those wines that develop intriguingly in the glass. At first, the aromas are floral with powder and rose, and then there's intense currant, a whiff of sage, even sweet beef. Its succulent in the mouth with juicy small berries/red cherries and extremely fine tannins, the oak completely invisible/integrated.

Keeping for another couple of years (Mill Blocks always age well) will pop it into the optimum drinking period of 5-6 years.
