Vintage after vintage the Bay of Fires team makes outstanding Pinot Noir that is acclaimed all over the world. The fruit for the 2024 release is drawn from premium vineyard sites in Coal River Valley and Derwent Valley of southern Tasmania.

Opening notes of mocha and kola nut with some hits of cassis and macerated blackberries. Then a follow up of spearmint and fennel seeds backed calmly with petrichor and porcini powder. There is a lot of happy interplay between the fruit, oak and skilled winemaking technique.
Again, with the blackberries on the palate but also damson plum (sweet & sour), traces of Chinese 5 spice and salty licorice. There is a ‘pulse’ to this wine that carries the impeccable fruit and oak to all the regions of your palate. I find myself drifting off to the pinot horizon whilst anticipating the next sip.
